Day 2 - Individual shots

Here is the first girl, Pup #2. Half mask. Left side first, then right side.

Below is the mismark male. Cute little black spots on the base of each ear ;)
Next two photos are of the black and white male, Pup #1.

Below is the blue girl, pup #5 (numbered in order of whelp). She is a very light/clear blue with a black patch over her left cheek.

All pups have gained about an ounce per day, are Zo-Momma is being a stellar mom. Aside from the squeeling in the middle of the night when Zoe moves, or they are nursing, they are not doing much....except breaking up my sleep....and of course I have to go and check when I hear one make a peep. I should know better, but its so hard :D

Thumbs up :-) Weight gain is good.

I love the powder blues. Huxley's great grandma Tess (Ch C-Myste Thistle and Shamrock) was that color.

They look good! They still look "early" but they're getting there and already have more color on their feet. Good for Zoe and you!

cute! Can't wait to see how that girl with the merle-ish blaze looks as she grows. that's really an interesting pattern. I know what you mean, I can't let the squealing go either, even though my red boy has already proven to take after his mom with a flair for the dramatic! I've got 2, you have 4, I can just send these 2 up to you, and then only one of us has to lose sleep ;-P Well, at least for a couple more days! But there wouldn't be any worry about telling them apart!

Joanna said something about them looking "early". I don't know, they look about the same as all of our puppies at birth. Maybe I'm just used to early puppies.

But then, it's been a long time since I had a litter of larger dogs (Aussies like 20 years ago) so maybe I just don't remember what they looked like.

I was there when they were born and there was only one that looked like it might have been to early. She was one of the ones that didn't make it. But then again maybe i am use to early puppies as well.

Get yourself a cot and sleep next to the whelping box. Or maybe one of those baby monitors with the cam in it so you can stay in bed and just prop open an eye when you hear something. :oP

Don't worry, Garrett...when Ruby had her puppies last year, we set our alarm clock every 2 hours to get up in the nighttime to go "check" on everyone. Since Bekka was working til about 10 or 11pm, she got the late shift. I would stay up til about 11pm, then she would take over til about 2pm. I would then get up at 4am, and Rus would get up at 6am to check on everyone. We did this for 2 weeks...a little paranoid, eh? We even had the baby monitor beside our bed, but I didn't trust it! LOL I think I was a walking zombie for about 2 or 3 weeks (ok, worse that normal!) ;)

Keep up the good work...they are looking good!

Congrats on the beautiful babies. Glad to hear they are gaining well. Plan on being sleep deprived for the first few weeks. It's all part of the fun! When Hannah her her litter of 10, I was tube supplementing puppies every hour or two 'round the clock for the first couple of weeks. But the results of all that hard work can be seen in the smiles of the families who adore those puppies who grew up to be healthy dogs. Ahh, makes me wish for more puppies! :-)

That white headed boy is just too cute. I mean, they are all darling, but he is giving me serious puppy fever! The mis-marks are always my favorite. :)
